Hi Period Five racers

I'am Looking at making a Period five racer.
I have a set of fork in my shed that are 41mm and have preload adjustment on the top they look quite old. can you use 41mm forks? and where there forks with preload adjustment on them before 1983?
Thanks Fred

Fred. You should be ok with those fork if you cover up the preload adjuster so it is not visable.

I know the 1980 TZ350G had pre-load adjustment on the forks.

1979 XS1100 had preload adjusters that look just like the early gsxr forks
